In this solo project, I challenged myself to create a map-based visual novel, with more player agency than a traditional vn. Inspired by Clue, I created a board game style visual novel that had strong, illustrated characters and perspective based, top-down backgrounds. I worked a lot with the Unity animation system to create dynamic, eye-catching movement, and kept with heavily saturated colors to create emphatic character and environment design. For the UI, I abandoned the busy, cluttered illustrations and stuck with clean, bright lines to make it readable and more futuristic.
